This fun, smoky twist on a ballpark favorite is packed with bold flavor and backyard creativity. Juicy hot dogs are wrapped in crispy bacon, seasoned with ranch or BBQ rub, and smoked to perfection before being nestled inside a hollowed-out dill pickle “bun.” It's the ultimate low-carb, high-flavor handheld.

    Fire up your Masterbuilt Gravity Series® 1150 Digital Charcoal Grill and Smoker and set it to 350°F.

    Wrap each hot dog in one slice of bacon, securing both ends with toothpicks so the bacon stays in place during cooking. Lightly season each with ranch seasoning or BBQ rub.

    Place the bacon-wrapped hot dogs on the smoker and cook for 40–45 minutes, or until the bacon is golden and crispy. If the bacon starts to char, remove it early to prevent burning.

    While the hot dogs are smoking, cut a “V” shape out of the top of each pickle to open it up. Use a small spoon to scoop out the insides, creating a pocket. Save the scooped-out pickle to use as relish for garnish.

    Once the hot dogs are fully cooked, place each one inside a pickle “bun.” Top with the reserved pickle relish and serve hot.
