This Sweet Honey Glazed Ham is your new holiday centerpiece. Glazed with a bold blend of honey, orange marmalade, and warm spices, then smoked to perfection on the Gravity Series 1150, it delivers juicy, tender meat with a sticky-sweet crust that caramelizes beautifully over charcoal heat.

Whether you're hosting family for the holidays or just want to impress at your next backyard gathering, this recipe is a flavorful upgrade from your traditional oven-baked ham.

“This glaze will forever change how you make ham.”

Why the Gravity Series 1150 Is Perfect for Ham

The GravityFed™ charcoal hopper on the Gravity Series 1150 Digital Charcoal Smoker Grill ensures consistent heat and smoke throughout the cook, while the DigitalFan™ lets you control temps precisely — ideal for smoking a pre-cooked ham and finishing it with a sweet glaze that caramelizes without burning. Plus, the ample cooking space makes this grill ideal for large roasts or feeding a crowd.

Flavor tip: Try adding a chunk of cherry wood to the hopper for an extra layer of sweet smoke.

Instructions

    Prep the Ham

  1. 01

Preheat your Gravity Series 1150 smoker to 250°F.

  2. 02

Place the ham in a prep tub or pan and coat it evenly with BBQ seasoning.

  3. 03

Smoke the ham according to the packaging instructions — typically around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the size.

  4. 04

(Optional): Leave the ham uncovered for the first 30 minutes to allow more smoke penetration and bark formation.

  5. Make the Glaze

  6. 05

While the ham cooks, combine honey, orange marmalade, ground cloves, cinnamon, water, and extra BBQ seasoning in a saucepan.

  7. 06

Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring often, until the glaze is slightly thickened and fragrant — about 10–15 minutes.

  8. Glaze and Finish

  9. 07

When the ham is about 10 minutes from done, increase your grill temp to 325–350°F.

  10. 08

Brush the glaze generously over the ham and return it to the smoker for the final 10 minutes to let the glaze set and become tacky.

  11. Serve

  12. 09

Let the ham rest for 10–15 minutes, then slice and serve hot.

  13. 10

Bonus: Save any leftover glaze to drizzle over slices or serve on the side!

MASTER IT.

There's an app for that.
