Pork Dumplings with Sweet Soy Dipping Sauce

    Combine garlic, ginger, green onions and red bell pepper in a food processor; pulse until minced. Add pork, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Pulse until mixture is well combined.



    • 2 cloves Garlic
    • 1 (2 inch) piece Fresh Ginger Root (peeled)
    • 2 Green Onions (quartered)
    • 1/2 cup Red Bell Pepper (cubed)
    • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
    • 1/2 pound Ground Pork
    • 2 tablespoons Dark Sesame Oil

    Drop mixture by heaping teaspoonful onto centers of wonton wrappers. Brush edges of wrappers with water. Gather corners of wrapper together to form an X crimping sides to seal.

    Repeat process with remaining wrappers, covering dumplings with damp paper towels as you make them so they do not dry out. Makes approximately 24 dumplings.

    Meanwhile, fill Masterbuilt XL electric fryer to the MAX fill line with water. Set to 375°F and bring to a boil. This will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

    Although cooking time on this recipe is short, water may need to be added if steamer is used for more than 60 minutes. Line the steamer basket with cabbage leaves. Place half of wontons in one layer in basket.

    Cover and steam 8 - 10 minutes. Do not lower basket into water when steaming. Repeat with second batch. Serve warm with Sweet Soy Dipping Sauce.

    Sweet Soy Dipping Sauce: In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients. Makes about 1 cup.



    • 2/3 cup Soy Sauce
    • 1/4 cup Rice Vinegar
    • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
    • 1/4 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
    • 2 tablespoons Ginger Root (peeled and minced)
    • 2 tablespoons Dark Sesame Oil
