This was my 1st smoker. I did research on the web before buying. BassPro had these on sale so I gave it a try. It was fairly easy to put together, takes 2 people to move this around as its bulky (big). I seasoned the smoker as recommended on the web.I have used this for almost 2 years using it 2 to 6 times a month. Ive turned out some great smoked ribs, meatloaf, chicken, fish, veggies on thie thing. I am always looking for new things to try. The only issues I have had are these. Its windy where I live so I had to made a "homemade" baffle for the vents in the back to limit the breeze from making a wind tunnel. I wedge it in and close the vent half way and it works great. The front dooor is huge. I have had to roll up aluminum foil to make a tigher seal around the door. I am going to use appliance seal around the door for a permanent fix. The "low" setting is not quite low enough for me to smoke ribs at the low heat that I prefer. I set it to low then slowly close the knob on the propane tank to get the gas low enough to get my 180 degrees for +8 hours that I like for fall off the bone ribs. The last thing is I could use one or two more racks in the thing. The holes are already there but I can't find any racks. I smoke huge amounts of food on this thing when I do use it. we freeze food for later use. Hickory smoked chicken is awesome. I make 15 to 20 at a time, It could do more is I had the more racks. I recommend this to all my friends. I like the propane feature due to my locations (personal preference). I will buy another one when I wear this one out. Its pretty well made, got some rust but nothing serious. Should last 5 to 7 years. I would recommend buying a cover. Its so big I had to buy a huge canvas chair cover, which works fine. And its fun to use!!!!
